AFI41-106 defines readiness skills and establishes Category I and Category II training requirements, including rules for authorized substitutes. It also addresses Operational Preventive Medicine training, Bioenvironmental Engineering personnel, protected information, and records disposition.
Applies to: This instruction applies to the United States Space Force (USSF), Regular Air Force (Reg AF), AF Reserve (AFR) and Air National Guard (ANG) and Department of the Air Force (DAF) civilian employees.
Readiness Skills are the AFSC-specific training items that allow an Airman or Guardian to perform the full scope of duties associated with their specialty in a deployed setting.
Personnel who are utilized as authorized substitutes on a standard UTC will complete Category II training for the AFSC they are filling on the UTC, in addition to Category II training required for their own AFSC.
Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with DAFMAN 90-161, Publishing Processes and Procedures, and disposed of in accordance with the air force records disposition schedule located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
