The 786 Force Support Squadron (FSS) is responsible for administering the Casualty Services Program on Ramstein Air Base.
Casualty includes AD members who are declared dead, Seriously Ill (SI), Very Seriously Ill (VSI), Duty Status Whereabouts Unknown (DUSTWUN), or missing.
Immediately notify the CAR and 86 Airlift Wing Command Post (86 AW/CP) upon knowledge of a casualty situation. Contact the 86 AW/CP for CAR contact information after duty hours.
Only after coordination and training with the CAR, perform duties as the Casualty Notification Officer for casualties assigned to the unit whose NOK reside in the area as required per AFI 36-3002, Paragraph 3.9.3.2.
