It implements and extends Air Force Instruction 36-2903 with requirements for arctic cold-weather conditions. It addresses headgear, outer garments, footwear, gloves, physical training attire, aircrew uniforms, and PME Center clothing.
Applies to: This supplement implements and extends the guidance of Air Force Instruction 36-2903, Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel, 28 September 2018, and applies to all Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) Airmen.
N2B (short) Parka is authorized for wear if available but is no longer authorized for new purchase.
If the hood on any authorized cold-weather parka/jacket/outer garment is worn, appropriate headgear is still required to be worn (for example, watch cap, ABU patrol cap, Security Forces Beret).
Only black Cold-Weather Boots (see Attachment 5 for an example) and black Cold-Weather Gloves may be personally procured and worn with Service Dress, Mess Dress and Semi-Formal uniforms.
An optional solid black or dark blue baseball/sport cap with the Air Force symbol or U.S. Air Force printed/embroidered on the front during organized/individual PT is authorized for wear.
Unit morale/Friday colored tee shirts and morale patches are not authorized for wear with the A2CU.
