It establishes procedures for maintenance training and addresses Training Analysis Briefing, Training Performance Metrics, Cross-Utilization Training, scheduling, and electronic training records. The instruction requires compliance with its attachments and sets processes for supplements, waivers, records, and privacy-protected information.
Applies to: It is applicable to uniformed and civilian personnel in the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve (AFR), Air National Guard (ANG), and to contractor personnel when required in accordance with their contract.
Major Commands (MAJCOM) may supplement this instruction.
Supplements must identify required deviations (DEV) (applicability, variance, and/or differences in organizational placement of responsibilities/processes) on the supplement with the abbreviation “(DEV)”.
All supplements will be submitted to AF/A4LM for approval.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternatively, to the requestor’s commander for non-tiered compliance items.
Compliance with the attachments in this publication is mandatory.
