It establishes requirements for vehicle administration, road and parking rules, flight line driving, vehicle equipment, seat belts, and accident reporting. It also sets standards for DUI processing, alcohol testing, chemical testing, administrative action, and driving privilege suspensions and revocations.
Applies to: It applies to personnel at all levels, including the Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and civilians while on this installation, except where noted otherwise.
No person shall drive or operate any motor vehicle, unless the person possesses a valid state and/or government driver’s license. (paragraph 1)
Cell phone use is prohibited while driving unless a hands free device is used. While operating a motor vehicle, the driver is not permitted to text or send an e-mail using a cell phone. (paragraph 2)
All vehicles, except emergency and alert vehicles responding to an alert or emergency, shall stop prior to entering the flight line and accomplish a FOD check. (paragraph 2)
Only vehicles with designated handicapped placards or license plates are authorized to utilize these spaces. (paragraph 8)
Operators must wear an approved protective helmet with full face shield, (combat helmet not authorized for training), or goggles, boots, full-fingered gloves, long sleeves down, long trousers and a contrasting vest or belt.
