The publication addresses F-35 maintenance concepts, prognostic inspections, support equipment, technical data, and readiness systems. It requires maintenance actions to use verified JTD and maintenance requirements to be managed through ALIS and related systems.
Applies to: This addendum applies to the Air National Guard (ANG) or Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) when assigned to Classic Associate Units supporting PACAF units.
Maintenance units will use this instruction in conjunction with the PACAF supplement to AFI 21-101; if a conflict exists between the PACAF supplement and this addendum the addendum will take precedence.
Action Requests (AR) are the primary method of problem reporting for the F35 Air System.
Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) will be viewed and tracked in the same manner as scheduled maintenance inspections, develop local Maintenance Management Production Asset Inspection Requirements (MM-PAIRS). (T-2).
The F-35 Joint Program employs a 2 level maintenance concept defined as organizational and depot levels of maintenance.
Program provided Support Equipment (SE) scheduled maintenance will be managed, tracked and documented within Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). (T-2).
