AFI21-101_OFFUTTAFBSUP adds policies for mobile communication devices, flightline photography, CND sign-offs, cyber security, scheduling, TDY maintenance, COMSEC/CCI accountability, and the Dedicated Crew Chief program. It requires compliance with the publication and establishes approval, reporting, accountability, training, and equipment-status requirements.
Applies to: This publication implements DAFI 21-101, and AFI 21-101_ACC Supplement, and applies to the 55th Wing and geographically separated operating locations and TDY locations where 55th Wing RC/TC/WC/-135 aircraft are operating.
Maintenance personnel are authorized to use personal and government CMDs for unclassified voice and text communication on the flightline and aboard aircraft; unless, classified information is present, stored on-board, being discussed, in-use, or CMD use is otherwise restricted by technical data or policy.
First time CNDs may be signed off by a 5-skill-level technician. All repeat/recurs will be signed off only by 7-skill-level technicians or higher.
The 55th Wing Avionics Monitor (WAM) will develop and publish C-135 specific cyber security requirements and policy.
CNDs will list all troubleshooting steps taken in Corrective Action block of 781A or 244.
55 AMXS will maintain the Dedicated Crew Chief (DCC) program for all 55 WG assigned RC/TC/WC-135 aircraft.
