The publication establishes Ellsworth standard aircraft configurations, inspection durations, safe-for-maintenance training, and local ETAR processes. It also addresses explosive-loaded aircraft, weapons procedures, PED transit, CTKs, and maintenance call signs.
Applies to: This supplement applies to all organizations assigned or attached to the 28th Bomb Wing (28 BW).
When developing the schedule, 4 hours will be allowed for standard Technical Order (TO) driven turn time inspections, and when munitions are loaded, the turn time will increase to 6 hours.
All Ellsworth Air Force Base (EAFB) assigned maintenance personnel that work on aircraft must be trained on all safe for maintenance requirements and procedures.
All ETAR’s will be generated utilizing local form, 28th Maintenance Group (28 MXG) Form 107, Engineering Technical Assistance Request, and be routed in accordance with para 6.9.5.3.4.1.
Prior to approaching aircraft, clearance must be obtained from the On Scene Commander (OSC), generally the Fire Chief.
All Weapons Section Noncommissioned Officers in Charge (NCOIC), Shift Supervisors, Expeditors and qualified load crew chiefs may be qualified to perform SPI if required by the Wing Weapons Manager (WWM). (paragraph 2)
