It covers spectrum manager appointments, frequency reviews, RF authorizations, interference response, spectrum surveys, and test and training range scheduling. It requires frequency submissions, coordination before procurement, and authorization for frequencies used within the Eglin Test and Training Complex.
Applies to: This supplement applies to all activities assigned to the 96th Test Wing, associate units as specified in the host-tenant support agreements, and public/private organizations that wish to operate Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensed/regulated stations within the Eglin AFB complex.
All assigned frequencies will be reviewed at least once every five years and updated to ensure accuracy of the assignment (see Attachment 7). (paragraph 17-220)
All Eglin radio frequency authorizations (RFAs) will be reviewed/validated annually. (paragraph 17-220)
All frequencies utilized within the ETTC must be authorized by the Eglin ISM regardless of prior authorization, which may have been granted by other agencies. (paragraph 17-220)
The RFA issued by the ISM in the GAFC Office will contain an expiration date on which the authorization expires. (paragraph 17-220)
Typical lead time for local processing is up to 15 days, therefore a customer should plan for a required lead time of 75 days from the day of intended use.
