AFI13-101 governs the evaluation of ground-based radar systems and sensors supporting the Command and Control enterprise.

AFI13-101 covers radar, sensor, and C2 system readiness, performance, threat detection, aircraft tracking, and operational requirements. It assigns evaluation roles, establishes waiver procedures, and requires protected information and resulting records to be managed under applicable Air Force programs.
Applies to: This publication applies to all civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force, the Air Force Reserve, the Air National Guard, and those who are contractually obligated to comply with Department of the Air Force publications.
Ground-based radar systems evaluation provides management with a tool for determining the capability of each radar system to detect, identify, track and control aircraft; determine aircraft height and maximize operational readiness and flight safety.
ACC will establish a periodic evaluation program for mobile ground-based radar systems (e.g., AN/TPS-75). (paragraph 90-161)
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with (IAW) the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule (RDS), located in the Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS).
