The publication covers EPE requirements, performance grades, requalification and additional training, and evaluation guidance for pilots, flight engineers, and loadmasters. It requires specific mission profiles, evaluator qualifications, documentation, and approval for deviations from 439th Air Wing guidance.
Applies to: This supplement defines specific policies and procedures applicable to members assigned or attached to the 439th Operations Group (OG).
Any deviation from 439th Air Wing (439 AW) guidance prescribed in this publication requires prior approval from 439th Operations Group Standardizations and Evaluations office (439 OG/OGV) or the 439th Operations Group Commander (439 OG/CC).
An EPE is required on all QUAL and MSN evaluations. An EPE is optional for SPOT evaluations to include No-Notice evaluations.
The flight examiner will also inform OGV as soon as practical when less than “Q-1” performance is observed.
When an individual receives a Q-2 or Q-3 while away from home station, every effort will be made to have that individual return home as soon as practical.
The AF Form 4022, Aircrew Training Folder, will not normally be required unless needed to document extensive additional training.
