It implements AFPD 11-2 and provides guidance for flight manual programs, technical order activities, supplements, waivers, and controlled flight manual data. It requires records to be maintained and disposed of under applicable records management requirements.
When rules, restrictions, and provisions indicated in this supplement are less restrictive than applicable aircraft, flight, training, and evaluation directives, the more restrictive directives apply.
If required Mission Design Series (MDS)-specific guidance is lacking or non-existent, aircrew are not authorized to conduct any operation unless specifically trained in a referenced provision.
Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with (IAW) AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of IAW Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule (RDS).
Waiver authorities for wing and unit level requirements are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, or T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
