The publication covers flight manual management, preparation, review, approval, distribution, and use within AFDW. It addresses supplement conflicts, waivers, records, and flight manual program guidance.
Applies to: It contains guidance unique to AFDW that applies to all AFDW personnel who manage, prepare, review, approve, distribute, or use flight manuals.
If guidance in this supplement conflicts with AFI 11-215, use the more restrictive guidance unless otherwise noted.
Ensure that all records created as a result of this supplement are maintained and disposed of in accordance with AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule (RDS) located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained In Accordance With (IAW) Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 33-363, Management of Records, and disposed of IAW the Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule (RDS).
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the requestor’s commander for non-tiered compliance items.
