It covers flight manual preparation, review, approval, distribution, use, supplements, waivers, records, and controlled unclassified information restrictions. It requires unit supplements to receive approval before publishing and establishes procedures for records and waiver requests.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
Units may supplement this instruction IAW DAFI 90-160, Publications and Forms Management, DAFMAN 90-161, Publishing Processes and Procedures, and this supplement.
Send unit supplements through Standardization/Evaluation (Stan/Eval) channels to Air Combat Command Standardization and Evaluation Branch (ACC/A3TV) for approval prior to publishing.
After publication, units will send one copy of their supplement to ACC/A3TV.
The authorities to waive wing or unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a tier (“T-0, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
