AFI10-405 presents the Always Ready philosophy, links Ready Airman Training to the AFFORGEN model, and defines readiness categories and training resource management. It addresses mass briefings, lesson plans, instructor qualifications, training records, and Advanced Ready Training prerequisites.
Applies to: It applies to Department of the Air Force (DAF) civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force (RegAF), involved in the development, execution, and use of Ready Airman Training (RAT), including Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) and Air National Guard (ANG).
Mass training must be led by an expert or commander-approved instructor.
Training completion must be documented in the current AF Learning Management System by the Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) or designated representative.
Advanced Ready Training (ART) prerequisite completion must be verified by unit commanders prior to enrollment.
Units can coordinate with the USAF Expeditionary Operations School (EOS) to utilize Mobile Training Teams (MTT) for ART-Core (ART-C).
Resources and standardization will be improved through AETC/A3L providing AF/A34-approved RTA descriptions, objectives, and lesson plans in the current AF Learning Management System and AFFORGEN Connect RAT Knowledge Base.
