The publication addresses personnel parachute operations, safety, training, proficiency, reporting, jump manifests, and parachute status. It requires compliance with specified attachments and establishes minimum standards and general parachuting rules for AFMC activities.
Applies to: This publication applies to all regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and Department of the Air Force civilian personnel involved in deliberate personnel parachute missions, training, support, or administration.
Additional training, currency, or proficiency parachute jumps may be required locally to ensure individuals maintain proficiency consistent with mission and test requirements.
Compliance with the attachments 2, 5, and 6 in this publication is mandatory.
The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, and T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
Approved T-3 waivers will be sent to AFMC/A3V within three business days for tracking and process improvement.
