It addresses deliberate personnel parachute missions, training, support, administration, permanent parachute positions, jump-inherent career field personnel, and jump reporting. The instruction requires compliance with Attachments 2, 5, and 6 and establishes waiver submission procedures.
Applies to: This publication applies to all regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and Department of the Air Force civilian personnel involved in deliberate personnel parachute missions, training, support, or administration.
Compliance with the attachments 2, 5, and 6 in this publication is mandatory.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the requestor’s commander for non-tiered compliance items.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
Operators functioning under the purview of a chartered test organization may deviate from the contents of this instruction as outlined in individually approved test plans required for test and evaluation purposes.
