It addresses emergency health powers, disease containment planning, medical countermeasures, and Strategic National Stockpile acquisition and use. It also delineates roles and responsibilities and provides guidance for the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve.
Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Manual 33-363, Management of Records, and disposed of in accordance with Air Force Records Disposition Schedule located in the Air Force Records Information Management System or any updated statement provided by the Air Force Records Management office (SAF/CIO A6P).
The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
Air Force units in joint basing situations in the supporting role and supported role are to follow guidelines outlined in paragraph 1.8.
