The publication addresses lessons learned support for operations, exercises, experiments, wargames, after action reports, and other activities. It sets Air Force Reserve Command guidance and procedures, waiver authorities, and limits for supplementary guidance.

Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Manual 33-363, Management of Records, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
Unless otherwise noted, AFRC/A9 Director (Tier 2) is the waiver authority to policies contained in this Instruction.
Submit waiver requests for AFRC/A9 Director’s consideration through HQ AFRC/A9R.
Supplementary guidance (which includes supplements and separate publications) cannot be less restrictive than the parent publication, but it can be more restrictive.
Supplementary guidance cannot contradict the parent publication IAW AFI 33-360 paragraph 6.5.6.6.1.
