The 20 AF mission is to ensure the readiness of assigned forces to defend the United States with combat ready nuclear forces and, on order, to conduct global strike operations. (paragraph 1)
20 AF has five subordinate units: the 90th Missile Wing (F. E. Warren AFB, Wyoming), 91st Missile Wing (Minot AFB, North Dakota), 341st Missile Wing (Malmstrom AFB, Montana), 377th Air Base Wing (Kirtland AFB, New Mexico), and 582d Helicopter Group (F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming). (paragraph 2)

Ensure assigned forces retain custody of and provide security for assigned nuclear weapons to ensure combat readiness and conduct operations. (paragraph 3)
