It establishes policies for missile systems and codes flight activities and for the evaluation, training, and certification of code handlers and code controllers. The publication also addresses field operations, codes vault or secure area operations, and facility and security requirements.
Applies to: This instruction applies to Headquarters (HQ) Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), Twentieth Air Force (20 AF), AFGSC missile wings, and the 377th Test and Evaluation Group (TEG).
Individual paragraphs to this instruction may only be supplemented by 20 AF. Supplements will not be less restrictive than the provisions of this publication and will be coordinated for AFGSC/A3O review prior to certification and publishing.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority in accordance with paragraph 1.4.
Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with (IAW) AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of IAW Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule (RDS).
