Manages the National Military Command Center (NMCC) communications and information technology operations through execution and facilitation of the Air Force role as the executive agent for the NMCC. (paragraph 1)
Manages all HAF Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Services across the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) and AFDW supported Air Force Elements (AFELMs) worldwide. (paragraph 1)
The 844 CG is a subordinate unit of AFDW and supports three communications squadrons: 744 CS, 794 CS, and 844 CS. (paragraph 2)
Requests to change the organizational structure of 844 CG must be made in accordance with AFI 38-101, Manpower and Organization through HQ AFDW/A1. (paragraph 2)
Organizes, trains, and equips 844 CG forces for operations within the NCR and for worldwide deployments. (paragraph 3)
