It defines the 11th Wing’s ceremonial, expeditionary, base operations, and worldwide support functions. It also establishes command duties, organizational change procedures, and staff responsibilities.
Applies to: This Mission Directive does not apply to the Air Force Reserve Command or the Air National Guard.
The 11 WG is a subordinate unit to AFDW. (paragraph 2)
Requests to change the organizational structure of 11 WG must be made in accordance with AFI 38-101, Manpower and Organization through HQ AFDW/A1. (paragraph 2)
Provides day-to-day oversight of the AFM operations on behalf of the AFDW Commander. (paragraph 3)
Provides financial advice, pay services, cost and economic analysis, and services including budget requirements, execution, and accounting to wing organizations and tenant units for appropriated and nonappropriated funding. (paragraph 3)
11 WG Safety advises the 11 WG Commander, functional managers and supervisors on Weapons and Occupational Safety matters for all tenant organizations located on JBAB and for HAF/SAF at the Pentagon. (paragraph 3)
