The Secretary of the Air Force’s (SecAF’s) Delegation of Authority Memorandum dated 28 Feb 2018, delegates responsibility to the AFDW Commander (AFDW/CC) to oversee general operations and management including the daily operational, security and usage matters. (paragraph 1-8)
Manage the acceptance of gifts greater than $100,000 as directed in AFPD 5-5, Administrative Law, Gifts and Command Relationships. (paragraph 1-8)
Act as the approval authority for operating instructions regarding the AF Memorial. (paragraph 1-8)
The purpose of the AF Memorial, as described in Public Law 103-163, 2 Dec 1993 is “… to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Air Force and its predecessors.” (paragraph 1-8)
