The 57th Wing trains the next generation of warfighter for the high-end fight by providing advanced, realistic, and multi-domain training focused on ensuring dominance through air, space, and cyberspace. (paragraph 1)
The 57th Wing serves as the higher headquarters for three groups: USAF Weapons School (USAFWS), 57th Operations Group (OG), and the 57th Maintenance Group (MXG) as well as the USAF Aerial Demonstration Squadron (USAFADS “Thunderbirds”) and the USAF Advanced Maintenance and Munitions Operations School (AMMOS). The 57th Wing has direct liaison authority (DIRLAUTH) to coordinate with organizations outside the chain of command to achieve their mission. (paragraph 2)
