It establishes policies, procedures, training requirements, unit responsibilities, and the responsibility of Airfield Driving Program Managers (ADPM) at Dobbins Air Reserve Base. It includes qualification checklists, color vision testing, vehicle passes, controlled movement area procedures, escort procedures, and radio phraseology.
Applies to: This instruction applies to all host, tenant, transient, civilians at jointuse locations, and contract personnel operating vehicles on the Dobbins ARB airfield.
I am also fully aware that no vehicle or pedestrian shall enter a runway or other controlled movement areas without approval from the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT). (paragraph 1-1)
At a minimum, the trainee must demonstrate the ability to operate a vehicle to and from their designated work areas. (paragraph 4)
Does the unit commander limit the number of personnel authorized to drive on the airfield to the absolute minimum necessary to accomplish the mission? (paragraph 1)
All contractors working on Dobbins ARB airfield will be given this training prior to starting work. All drivers must have this briefing/training. (paragraph 1)
Is remedial training conducted and documented on personnel that fail a test or commit a violation? (paragraph 4)
