It addresses hydrazine hazards, designated areas, deployment, equipment maintenance, storage facilities, and on-base fuel-tank transportation. It requires training, protective measures, emergency responses, storage controls, and transport limits.
Applies to: It applies to all personnel and units assigned, attached, or tenant to the 51st Fighter Wing (51 FW).
All aircraft maintenance and aircraft fuel systems personnel will receive familiarization training in hydrazine hazards. (paragraph 3)
Building 1799 is the only facility on Osan AB authorized for the storage of hydrazine.
Any other personnel not exposed, will remain a minimum of 300 feet in all directions from the suspected leak and direct response personnel upon their arrival. (paragraph 5)
If hydrazine is present, the equipment must be purged by qualified 2A6X4 personnel. (paragraph 9)
All tanks, either empty or containing any amount of Hydrazine, will be transported in a Department of Transportation (DOT) approved shipping container only.
