It covers capability gap identification, gap tracking, command engagement, fielding, submission frequency, feedback, and internal and external processes. Compliance is mandatory, and the instruction requires records created by its prescribed processes to be maintained and disposed of under specified Air Force records requirements.
Applies to: It applies to individuals at all levels who directly support the Homeland Defense, Civil Support, and Theater Security Cooperation missions of 1 AF, including the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard, except where noted otherwise.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the Publication OPR for non-tiered compliance items.
Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule (RDS) located in the Air Force Records Management System.
Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility listed above using the Air Force Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; route AF Forms 847 from the field through the appropriate chain of command.
