Another Services fielded ammunition that has achieved a Milestone C, if adopted by the Army without configuration changes, requires a TC validation memo from the materiel developer (MATDEV) to the program executive officer (PEO) documenting this. (paragraph 1-6)
CIE acquired by U.S. Special Operations Command acquisition authority and provided to Army special operations forces is exempt from TC and MR. (paragraph 1-6)
The capability developer (CAPDEV) or Milestone Decision Authority (MDA) may elect to conduct MR activities on some programs. (paragraph 1-6)
The applicable functional authority (FA) or Materiel Release Authority (MRA) will determine when safety, suitability, transportability, and supportability issues are significant. (paragraph 1-6)
