It describes how Service component systems operate within the theater air-ground system, including the organizations, personnel, equipment, and procedures involved. It establishes a framework for planners and requires participating Services to review, validate, and use the publication as appropriate.
Applies to: This MTTP publication applies to all commanders and their staffs.
The objective of this publication is to describe how each of the Service components systems operate within the TAGS. (paragraph 1)
Participating Service command offices of primary responsibility will review this publication; validate the information; and, where appropriate, use it as a reference and incorporate it in Service manuals, regulations, and curricula as follows. (paragraph 4)
Army. Upon approval and authentication, this publication incorporates the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) contained herein into the United States (US) Army Doctrinal and Training Publishing Program as directed by the Commander, US Army Training and Doctrine Command. (paragraph 4)
Marine Corps. 1 The Marine Corps will incorporate the procedures in this publication in United States Marine Corps (USMC) doctrine and training publications as directed by Commanding General, Training and Education Command (TECOM). (paragraph 4)
Navy. The Navy will incorporate these procedures in US Navy training and doctrine publications as directed by the Director, Navy Warfare Development Center (NWDC) [N5]. (paragraph 4)
