ATP 3-06.1 is a tactical-level reference for aviation and ground personnel supporting urban operations. It addresses urban terrain, small unmanned aircraft systems, personnel recovery, convoy security communications, ISR, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and electromagnetic interference, and provides procedures for incorporation into Service doctrine and training publications.
Applies to: This publication applies to all tactical-level commanders and their staffs that participate in aviation urban operations.
Upon approval and authentication, this publication incorporates the tactics, techniques, and procedures contained herein into the United States (US) Army Doctrine and Training Literature Program as directed by Commander, US Army Training and Doctrine Command. (paragraph 4)
The Marine Corps will incorporate the procedures in this publication in United States Marine Corps (USMC) doctrine publications as directed by Commanding General, Training and Education Command (TECOM). (paragraph 4)
The Navy will incorporate these procedures in US Navy training and doctrine publications as directed by Commander, Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC) [N5]. (paragraph 4)
The Air Force will incorporate the procedures in this publication in accordance with applicable governing directives.
ALSA will review and update this publication as necessary. (paragraph 5)
