What is considered a modification under AR 750-10?
Modification is any alteration, conversion, or modernization of an end item or a component of end item (COEI), which in any way changes or improves the original purpose or operational capacity in relation to the effectiveness, efficiency, reliability, or safety of that item. (paragraph 1-6)
When does a modification require AROC approval?
Modifications that improve or diminish end item performance against approved key performance parameters (KPPs) or key system attributes (KSAs) to levels above or below objective performance envelope require an updated functional requirements document be submitted to the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), G 8 for Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC) approval.
