What do uniform SMR codes identify?
Uniform SMR codes, as established and defined herein, will be used to identify the source of spares, repair parts, and end items of support equipment, and the maintenance authority to use, maintain, overhaul, rework, rebuild, condemn, or dispose of them. (paragraph 2)
