How are payments to active duty Soldiers made?

All payments of entitlements and deductions from military pay appropriations for active duty Soldiers will be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) through DJMS AC. (paragraph 1-6)

How often are Soldiers paid?

Effective 1 October 2022, all Soldiers will be paid twice per month. (paragraph 1-7)

Is direct deposit required when entering active duty?

Soldiers must use direct deposit (SURE PAY) to a financial organization upon entering active duty. (paragraph 1-7)

When is a DA Form 1506 required for creditable service?

All Soldiers ordered to active duty for a period in excess of 179 days or re-entering active duty after a break in service must have a DA Form 1506 completed by their unit active duty career counselor (79S). (paragraph 2-2)
