What is the deployment-to-dwell threshold under AR 614-30?
The dwell threshold for Soldiers serving on combat/operational deployments is one month deployed to two months dwell (1:2). (paragraph 9)
When are Soldiers non-deployable because of dwell time?
Soldiers serving on active duty are non-deployable to combat/operational deployments and ineligible for PCS reassignment to a dependent restricted tour during the time their dwell ratio is less than the thresholds in paragraphs 39c and 39d below. (paragraph 9)
How much remaining service is required for Family members to travel overseas at Government expense?
Family members are not eligible to travel OCONUS at Government expense unless their military sponsor has enough remaining service to serve the longer of the prescribed accompanied tour or 12 months after arrival of Family members (see table 6 2 for voluntary extensions). (paragraph 9)
What tour must Soldiers serve when accompanied by command-sponsored Family members?
When accompanied or joined by command-sponsored Family members, Soldiers will serve the accompanied tour. (paragraph 9)
When may an overseas tour be curtailed?
Curtailments will be minimized and granted on a case-by-case basis only when extenuating circumstances exist, early return from overseas is the last recourse available, and is in the U.S. Governments best interest. (paragraph 9)
