Applies to: This regulation prescribes policies and procedures governing officer transfers from Regular Army (RA) to the Reserve Component (RC) and discharge functions for all officers on active duty (AD) exceeding 30 days.
Upon receipt of DAADB notification memorandum from either HQDA or the GOSCA, completes and forwards the acknowledgment of notification within 24 hours (see fig 2 4). (paragraph 1-20)
Reviews data provided and forwards rebuttal (if desired) within 30 calendar days from receipt of notification memorandum. (paragraph 1-20)
Determine the boards convene date (not earlier than 30 days from the officers receipt of notification to show cause by Commander, HRC or GOSCA). (paragraph 4-8)
Ensure the Board of Inquiry is completed no later than 90 days from the date the GOSCA directs that a Board of Inquiry be conducted. (paragraph 4-8)
The service of an officer who retires may only be characterized as honorable. (paragraph 1-20)
