Applies to: This regulation establishes standards, policies, and procedures for the selection, training, testing, and licensing of operators of Army government-owned or government-leased vehicles and equipment.
During training, the student operator must successfully complete the written tests and performance tests required by the POI. (paragraph 1-4)
Student operators DA Form 348 (Equipment Operators Qualification Record (except Aircraft)) will be annotated with test results as a record of training. (paragraph 1-4)
Company commanders must appoint a sufficient number of license instructors and license examiners to execute and certify training. (paragraph 4-1)
Each issuing authority will maintain a ledger of all permits issued. (paragraph 6-1)
The ledger will be organized by date sequence and will include date of issue, expiration date, permit number, name of the licensee, type of equipment qualified to operate, and a remarks block. (paragraph 6-1)
