AR 380-49 addresses facility and personnel security clearances, foreign ownership, contractor training, security specifications, inspections, subcontracting, and information technology security. It prescribes requirements, restrictions, safeguards, reviews, reporting, and waiver procedures for Army industrial security activities.
Applies to: The security policies, requirements, and procedures identified in this regulation are applicable to Army personnel (military and civilian), all Army contractors performing services on an Army installation and supporting a tenant Army facility and contractors in which the Army provides oversight.

DCS, G2 will review and approve requests for waivers or exceptions to this regulation, as appropriate and as consistent with controlling law and policy. (paragraph 1-7)
