Is on-the-job training allowed to qualify military working dog handlers?
On-the-job training for the purpose of qualifying military or civilian personnel as MWD handlers are prohibited. (paragraph 2)

How many hours per week must certified Military Working Dogs be utilized?
Upon the successful completion of an HQDA MWD Certification event, MWDs will perform at least 24 hours of utilization per week. (paragraph 1)
What food may handlers feed Military Working Dogs?
Handlers will only feed MWDs dog food which conforms to the specifications regarding metabolizable energy, digestibility, nutritional characteristics, and formulation, as determined by the U.S. AVS and the Director, DOD Military Working Dog Veterinary Service. (paragraph 3)
