AR 150-1 covers cadet instruction, admissions, standings, graduation, commissioning, conduct, honor, separations, resignations, and cadet administration. It also addresses USMAPS operations and nonstandard Army functions unique to USMA.
Applies to: This regulation provides policy and procedures for the command and control of the U.S. Military Academy (USMA), the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS), and the West Point Military Reservation (WPMR).
There will be at USMA a 4year COI (see 10 USC 7449(c)). (paragraph 2-1)
Classes will not be scheduled on Sunday (see 10 USC 7449(d)). (paragraph 2-2)
No more than 100 cadets will participate in this exchange program during any fiscal year (see 10 USC 347). (paragraph 2-4)
Cadets will be appointed by the President alone. (paragraph 3-3)
Cadets are members of the Regular Army and subject to military law and the UCMJ (see 10 USC 7075(b)(2) and 802(a)(2)). (paragraph 6-1)
