Can Security Assistance Teams provide personal or office services?
The SAT personnel will not provide office services, chauffeuring services, messenger services, or services of a purely personal nature. (paragraph 2-3)
Do all OCONUS Security Assistance Team members have to attend SATTOC?
All SAT members deployed OCONUS under the SA program must attend the Security Assistance Training Team Orientation Course (SATTOC) at Fort Bragg, NC. (paragraph 2-12)
When is classified information disclosure authorization required for a SAT mission?
Should the HQDA approved SAT mission include the use of U.S. classified information, TRADOC will obtain disclosure authorization preferably before the SAT deploys, but definitely before training begins. (paragraph 2-13)
How long can a permanent change of station Security Assistance Team deploy?
A TAFT or ETSS will deploy for periods greater than 179 days and will not exceed three years in duration. (paragraph 2-23)
How long can a temporary duty team perform services?
Temporary duty teams perform services for specific purposes and periods of time not to exceed 179 days under the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the Foreign Assistance Act (FAA). (paragraph 4-1)
